Overview
The WiNRADiO G526e VHF/UHF tuner is a modular building block suitable for high-performance surveillance, monitoring and direction finding applications. The tuner can be used either as a stand-alone wide-band front-end for a software-defined receiver, or as a building block for multichannel phase-coherent receiver systems.

In a stand-alone form, the tuner is supplied integrated with a local oscillator unit. It has a 20-3000 MHz antenna input and a 21.4 MHz analog IF output with 22 MHz bandwidth.
For phase-coherent multichannel applications, the tuners and the local oscillator/distribution unit are supplied as separate interconnected modules. A typical phase-coherent system might contain 8 receiver modules, however the exact number can be tailored to meet a customer's specific requirement.
In multichannel systems, the tuner provides excellent phase matching (typically 3 degrees across the entire frequency range). Higher accuracies are possible using an inbuilt phase-calibration facility which makes it possible to digitally control the output phase of each tuner with a 0.1 degree resolution.
The tuner's small dimensions and low power consumption make it suitable for integration to mobile surveillance and direction finding systems, including airborne systems, UAVs, and other demanding application where wide frequency range, wide instantaneous bandwidth and consistent phase characteristics are desirable.
