Original Firestik Scanner-Stationsantenne "Made in USA" ! "Altgedienten CB-Funkern", ist die Marke Firestik sicherlich noch durch ihre stabilen Wendelstrahler bekannt. Nach dem gleichem robusten Prinzip wurde diese Scanner-Basis-Antenne entwickelt. Der typische Frequenzbereich ist ca. 25-600 MHz (etwas leistungsreduziert bis ca. 1300 MHz). Besonders optimiert wurde der Frequenzbereich 140-170 MHz. Die Anbringung der 3 Radials, wurde so gewählt, dass sie nicht um 360 Grad angebracht werden. Dadurch ist die MSB-RX auch ideal für die Montage an Balkonen, etc. Die MSB-RX verfügt über einen PL-Anschluß für 50 Ohm Koaxialkabel. Die Antenne kann in wenigen Minuten aufgebaut werden, der Montagehalter ist allerdings nicht für größere Mastdurchmesser geeignet. (oder man muß etwas tricksen...). In praktischen Versuchen, zeigte die Firestik MSB-RX solide Empfangsergebnisse. Richtig montiert kann diese Antenne viele Jahre alt werden.

The MSB-RX antenna is for use as a home base scanner antenna. The primary element is an efficient, wire-wound design with special built-in traps for better performance in the action-packed 140-170 MHz band. However, the antenna can be used to receieve scanner signals between 25 and 1200 MHz. The primary element is 3 foot (91cm) and white in color. The kit also includes a complet mounting assembly, and three 24 inch (61cm) solid aluminum radials. This base antenna assembles and mounts in a matter of minutes. It can be mounted to a mast, a vertical or horizonatl rail, or to the side of any building or structure. The antenna termination is a standard SO-239 so you may use any coax cable that is terminated with a standard PL-259. Due to the various locations that users install the antenna, we do not supply the coaxial feed line with this kit. Nonetheless, the antenna requires RG-58 or equivalent coax for the feed line from the antenna to the scanner. Firestik offers a 50ft (15.2m) RG-58A/U coaxial cable that is terminated on one end with a weather-tite PL-259 connector that will attach to the MSB-RX antenna. The scanner end is not processed due to the variety of possible connections used on scanners (RCA, BNC, UHF, etc).
